It is really important for Avast that users participate in Beta testing, to find - and solve issues with upcomming releases.
Not only do you have the opportunity to try out new releases first, but you can also test if everything works as expected before the actual release.

Important :

When you start to participate in Beta testing take these precautions in case something goes wrong :

- Make a system image of your current installation.

- During Beta testing make regular back ups from all your work.

If the user has AOMEI Backupper just make a "disk backup". Personally I use a 2 TB external HDD.
Then if and when you need to restore the image "backupper" gives you the choice of which partitions to restore.

Off the top of my head I thought that would surely be a pinned topic in this forum, looks like it has been unpinned.

But this is where it is, https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=169887.0. It is rather a large topic, so it rather depends what you are looking for. If reporting an issue with the 10.2.2218 build, then it would be better in its own new topic.

Sound Advice, or for users with an extra windows License, use VirtualBox to create a Virtual machine to test in. virtualbox.org

No longer in the beta, only have secureline and avast mobile, gone back to windows security, just as good for what I need.

Updated from the 2221 R3 beta 3 build and completed restart.

A quick question ahead of the final release. I don't have Grimefighter installed, when I update to R3 via the GUI will my choice be honoured in respect of Cleanup (ie will cCeanup be installed as a new feature regardless of the fact that Grimefighter was not previously installed)?
