« on: June 28, 2015, 03:20:23 PM »
I did a rootscan by avast with settings "fix automatically" ie. Repair/move to chest /delete... During it many files in system32 were also detected as adw-gen n so on.. But none of them were repaired but most deleted n se chested,,, after that when i restarted my laptop (hp compaq) it failed to start then i did "last known good configuration" n started but since my eventlog service is not functioning.. My wlanautoconfig, n many other aervices and their dependent services cant run,,, along my system speaker, network adapter , peripheral bth device  e.t.c .drivers are missing and cant find by "search automatically"option n in some says the driver is uptodate but is not working peoperly.,, i restored and added exception in those in chest bt no improve.,. What can i do to solve it??  m sorry i hadnt backedup/created reatore point of  system.. Is the new windows installation only the solution?

This one of the reasons why you should always have a recent image of the drive and a backup of the data.

Instead of a clean installation (which doesn't hurt doing it from time to time), you can also perform a in-place-repair.

You mean BootScan .....  why, any problems? .... why not a normal scan

Clean, Quarantine, or Delete?   www.antivirus.about.com/b/2007/03/11/clean-quarantine-or-delete.htm

Do you have any log, screeshot of quarantine so we can see what was detected/removed?

Some unneceaaary programs were running in processes n restarted each time i "end process"ed in task mgr thus unabl to uninstall...  so boot scan

avast was configured to fix automatically means it would try to repair -"failed" then quarantine if again fail delete....  But restoring the quarantined files did nothing good...

I will try to post screenshots..
