Trying to change e-mail address

I am a long-time user of Avast's Free version and have 2 devices associated with my account (a laptop & a PC) using a business email which will soon be discontinued.

I can't change my email address on my profile - because somewhere along the way I registered separately. Avast says that my personal email address is already in their system and stops me there.

I need to discontinue using the business email, but want to keep my "points" (history).  Is there a way to do this?

You need to open your my.avast.com account - add the new email, which you will also have to verify - once verified you can now set that email address as the default and delete the soon to be extinct one.

That doesn't work. Avast response: "This email is already in use."  As you can see, I have 2 profiles - Jeanne7 and muse-mail.
