Unwanted text messages
« on: June 30, 2015, 01:53:37 AM »
My husband upgraded his phone around 1.5 years ago and had my phone number listed as his back up number for notifications I'm guessing. Since then, I've received multiple text messages in Spanish giving me the coordinates for a phone in the Dominican Republic. Never been there, don't know anyone there. How can I get Avast to remove my number? My husband has checked his account and the old phone is no longer listed as a device at all. Thank you.

Traded it in at a Best Buy in 2013 I believe. Haven't had it since then. The number the text messages are coming from are out of the country so I know it's not anyone I personally know.

Since you don't have access to the phone anymore there is only one thing you can do.
Submit a ticket to avast and ask them for help.
