One of my tablets is Honeycomb, rooted, and cannot be updated, but works great. I had a strange event yesterday: Avast could not determine its own version, could not update signatures, and reported last activities from February!
I uninstalled since something really seemed broken, installed Sophos, but still would like to bring back Avast if possible, because of the firewall, which I hope works.
