Odd Issue with Internet Explorer

Hello, I am recently run a gamet of security software on my computer, from ComboFix to AdwCleaner.

Now, I am having issues with my internet browsers.

With internet explorer, I can only open up MSN.com and any links on MSN.com.

But the minute I type in a different web address, I get this message saying "Information being sent over secure connection. Other people cannot read this information" and then I press OK. I don't think its a virus message. It is a normal internet explorer message. The strange thing is, these sites are not https://, they are normal http://. After I click OK, nothing loads up for that page.

I thought there was an issue with my Security settings in Internet Explorer. So I reset them to the lowest settings, and I still get this issue.

Why would one page, specifically the MSN homepage, load up normally and give me access to sites, but I can't load any other page?

Also, I am having an issue with Mozilla Firefox where none of the PDFs I click on through my e-mail open up with Adobe PDF. They were doing this before I uninstalled Malwarebytes.

You  should not play with ComboFix unless you know how to use it

You should not run ComboFix unless you are specifically asked to by a helper. Also, due to the power of this tool it is strongly advised that you do not attempt to act upon any of the information displayed by ComboFix without supervision from someone who has been properly trained. If you do so, it may lead to problems with the normal functionality of your computer.

I need to tell you that Combofix is not a tool that is supposed to be used without expert oversight, sUBs the creator of Combofix has gone to great lengths to let people know this, including a clear and succinct message which is displayed every time that Combofix is run.

To blindly jump in case without any previus knowledge of what has been done it is not wise. I need some log data.

When the tool is finished his scanning and analysing, it has produced a log report. (typical location: C:\ComboFix.txt)
ComboFix has created addition log as well (typical location: C:\Qoobox\ComboFix-quarantined-files.txt)

I'll need both logs please.


Related to IE browser, reseting browser settings to defaults should be enough. Here is how to do that;

I only realize now that ComboFix is a hard to use program for beginners. It basically does everything automatically and does not seem to prompt you for any actions.

Both Firefox and Chrome work normally on my computer.

But it is only Internet explorer where I can only open up the homepage (MSN.com) and any links on MSN.com. The minute I type in the URL for a different page, I get the message "Sending over a secure connection. Others cannot view this page" and then I click OK and nothing shows up.

Also, I fixed the issue I was having with Firefox about opening up PDFs. I just had to select an option to open them up in Firefox.

1. Is there a way to re-install Internet Explorer or for Internet Explorer to be update and gather whatever files got messed up? Or is there a way to uninstall Internet Explorer and download a new copy?

2. Also, I noticed on my old computer that Avast is now popping up prompts about AVG? Is there something wrong with AVG in the sense that it is no longer safe software?

You are not running/ have installed two Anti virus programs at the same time on your OS>>>>Are You

No, I have AVAST as primary. I've disabled most functions for AVG.

Just GOOGLE "Should I Have 2 Anti Virus Installed on Operating System?" and see what you find.
Never have 2 Anti Virus software programs installed on a system at the same time. 
Whether or not you have stuff enabled or disabled.
It's an absolute no-no.
You will inevitably have conflict issues.

Yeah I plan on deleting AVG soon. Except for a while, it was the only software that was working on my Vista computer. Avast had not worked a while ago.

But back to my question, is there a way to uninstall Internet Explorer and get the newest version? I think my Internet Explorer is corrupted after running some security software.

I think your problem is having 2 Anti Virus program installed.
I can only imagine the kinds of conflicts you have, Internet Explorer mostly likely being one of them.
I'm just saying.

2 resident AV's on one computer is never a good idea and will sooner or later result in conflicts of all sorts.
Looks like you've run into a conflict.
You can't uninstall IE. You can update it or you can run sfc /scannow to fix corrupted programs.

Well now it's official 

 I'll also add, no one can effectively 'troubleshoot' any/the issue until you completely uninstall one of the Anti Virus programs.
