avast: avlicFindFeatureByName(): AV_LNX: Invalid Argument
« on: July 13, 2015, 08:03:21 AM »
I am trying to install avast to ubuntu 12.04 64bit server.
And after I installed avast, avast-fss, they cannot be started due to below error:

avast: avlicFindFeatureByName(): AV_LNX: Invalid Argument

What's that? How can I fix it?

What license file do you use? Please send it to me, so we can analyze the issue.

The license file is corrupted - it has wrong newlines. Instead of the correct CRLF, your
file has only CR as the newline character. I suggest it is because of a broken mail client,
you use or you have somehow copy&pasted the license file content. Anyway, If you
transform the CRs to CRLFs, the license file will work.
