windows XP crash by aswMon2.sys
« on: November 10, 2005, 09:55:23 AM »
Hello,

Recently I got some blue screens.  I analysed the minidumps with winddbg and the culprit was two times an avast driver: aswMon2.sys Minidump analyzes in attachment.

I am running windows XP service pack 2 and avast 4.6.691.

I really like avast and want to keep avast as virusscan.  Somebody knows what to do?

Thanks,

Ans

I'm afraid the dumps were not uploaded to the forum for some reason.
Can you please send them by e-mail to vlk@avast.com ?
Thanks.

Ok they are sent.
I found a third one (10/11) where the culprit is aswTdi.sys. It's not possible to post the dmp files, that's why I post the analyzes in txt.

I just sent you an email. It's the ZoneAlarm bug (again... :-\)

Just to know, Vlk, that the new drive is working perfectly in one computer of mine (XP SP2+, avast!, ZA free).
