Quick Scan shows 'Threat Detected' but can't show results

Won't let me click to reveal what it found - seems to do this periodically. When I click 'Scan History' it doesn't show anything came up and says 'no virus found'. Is this a false alarm? Thanks in advance.

I have occasionally received this message after an automated Quick Scan, where the the scan log shows no threat detected and nothing has been moved to the chest. It happened again today. I am using Avast version 2015.10.2.2218, which seems to be the most recent version available.

Can I assume this is a false positive warning, presumably a remnant from updating, rather than clean-installing, Avast? If so, please confirm that it should be fixed if I uninstalled, then reinstalled 2015.10.2.2218. Thanks.

I also started having this same problem, showing up for the first time a couple of weeks ago. I am using the latest version 2218. Will try the reinstall.

2218 is not the latest version.
