I run Avast Pro. Thought the update two days ago related to Pro, so downloaded it. Really wish I hadn't.
Yesterday the computer wouldn't start properly - kept looping. The firewall would not activate. Two hours to Avast tech support where the programme was removed and reinstalled left the computer functioning but not quite right. Some programmes wouldn't open. Last night, 10pm UK time, I was using Dragon to dictate onto Word and mid sentence Dragon could not recognire the microphone! Does anyone have any idea whether Avast could have affected Dragon too?
Baffled, pretty frustrated, just wish it would work without hugely time wasting glitches! I paid for the Pro in the hope of a good programme but there have been previous problems too. Time to change?
