ok guys, i've found the way to reset admin password.
if you have Microsoft SQL Server installed, run Enterprise Manager, select 'avast' database, go  to 'Tables'. open table 'Users' and clear 'Password' field in the appropriate row

if you dont have Microsoft SQL Server client tools installed, you can use Access to reset password:
1) open Windows Control Panel,
2) select Administration
3) open ODBC Data sources
4) create File DSN 'avast.dsn' selecting appropriate SQL server and connection settings
5) run Access, File->Open, select 'ODBC' file type
6) select 'avast.dsn' in the opened dialog
7) select 'dbo.User' database table
8 open the table
9) clear 'Password' field
welcome to the Avast Admin Console!!!

please notify me if this info helped you: r0bust at yandex ddot ru

Of course, but that assumes you have the sa password for the database... :)
If at first you don't succeed, then skydiving's not for you.

of course.
but if you can install adnm and deploy managed clients in the network of your enterprise, that assumes that you are administrator of the network and have enough rights to access all the servers and databases.

if not, who you are?  :)
