Wireless Driver Dissappears???
« on: July 28, 2015, 12:07:41 AM »
My friend brought me a laptop because it don't show any wireless networks to connect to. Its a HP Pavilion 15 Sleekbook. I looked at the device manager and the only network adapter in there is the Ethernet. So I downloaded the Realtek wireless driver from the HP site and installed it. It worked fine until he PC lid was closed or restarted and the driver just keeps disappearing. You can reinstall it but it will just go away again. Anyone have any ideas why this would happen? Its Windows 8.1. Avast Pro Antivirus. I'm downloading Malwarebytes now to run a scan to see if anything pops up. Thanks in advance.
