Migrating to Avast for Business (FREE)

Hi guys,

            My company has been patronizing avast for quite some time now and it will be our 3rd year in the next two months.
My question is, what do we lose in terms of features and protection if we migrate from our Endpoint Protection Suite to Avast business (FREE). This can ease our budget concerns and more over since this is a fairly new product it will get updates more likely than the endpoint protection with stagnant progress for the past few years.

Does anyone here has the same thought as I do?

At the moment the only real advantage the free for business has (besides the fact that its free obviously) is that it can centrally manage Macs.

Either of our on premise consoles easily beats it in terms of features, be it control of the endpoints, reporting features, scan setup, status monitoring, and pretty much anything else excluding ease of setup in case of comparing with the EA. It also cannot push deployments, only deploy via email or a manually distributed installer, which I believe will be an important consideration for any enterprise-level customer with more than a few dozen clients.
 
The client does have a better engine since its based off the 2015, but that is only a minor difference in protection effectiveness. I would be surprised if a customer with more than 25 clients would opt for the free solution considering the typical needs of such clients.

It does not come with a Firewall either, that is a paid subscription feature, meaning it would leave your business machines with Windows built in firewall as the main defense. No thanks!

It is FREE for a reason.

Just out of curiosity, why would the Firewall aspect be important to a company with more than 25 people?  I would assume the infrastructure has hardware based firewalls in place already, with port controls.  The best use case I could think of are people who are directly connecting their computers to the Internet.

Avast fbs and apbs consoles is a piece of non understandable things and bugs. SOA and AEA now more stable, and have more features.
