It does help to see that I'm not the only one suffering troubles with latest version 10.3.2225. Besides other anomalies, 10.3.2225 simply does not permit 'chkdsk' to run properly on my Windows 7 SP1. For the time being, “10.2.2215” is working undisturbed and unhindered toward the fulfillment of its promise to protect me from the mean cruel world out there. I can be patient.
You are not the only one. And I would say, really far from this !
Since
Avast 10.3.2225 release I've been experiencing many freezes-crash. First with Firefox, and then with Chrome. While browsing, for example, being listening to a youtube video and opening/closing other webpages/tabs, then
suddenly the computer freezes.
The only thing I have to do when this happends is to hard reboot, manualy, no other choices.
I'm running a rock-solid Vista64 SP2, 3Ghz/8Go RAM.
I've never experienced a single freeze before installing Avast 10.3.2225.
My question is gonna be pretty simple:
When Avast will officially communicate about this big problem ?Or at least, will Avast be offering to users an official link to download the Avast 10.2.2215 version to avoid this problem ?
And what about this CHKDSK issue in Windows 7 ? Is Vista SP2 corrupted as well ?
By now, we are still in the same position, we users (free version or not), maybe we would deserve, at the very least, some official informations about this issue which is touching users all over Europe and Japan. Don't you think ?
Peace.
