Why in IE optimizing Windows ask to remove Avast Online Security Add-in?

On my Aspire E11 2 GB - 32 GB computer IE asks me to remove Avast Online Security as Add-in in IE to optimize speed.
Is Avast Online Security that consuming?

Depends on what IE defines it as.

If in Tools>Manage Add-ons>Toolbars and Extensions, it says AOS is taking more than 2-5 seconds to start then it will report AOS as slowing down the IE browser.  Reporting time is adjustable in IE and can be changed from default.

Here, AOS in IE 11 starts in 0.15 seconds.
