I sent a support ticket in and the response was as follows:

"Task Scheduling and notifications is currently slated for for a Q3 2015 release, but since we are approaching the end of Q3 I'm not sure that it's going to make it. Hopefully it won't be to much longer tho.

So it looks like the answer is, they have no clue when they will get an update rolled out and estimations on when it will be released are just numbers with no meaning
