Redirect the definitions to alternate location?

I would like Avast to be installed on drive C: but the definitions downloaded / stored to a different drive. Can this be configured, or manually changed?
Why- I'm using Faronics DeepFreeze, which doesn't allow any changes to drive C, therefore all changes are lost on reboot.
