I just thought to report this:

Avast Free Version 10.3.2223

From the Windows 7 event log:

The system has resumed from sleep.

Do you have NG (Virtual Machine Service) installed?

I think so. I found the following service running:

"AvastVBox COM Service"

C:\Program Files\AVAST Software\Avast\ng\vbox\AvastVBoxSVC.exe

startup type: manual

service status: started

it has no description specified.

Try removing NG component from avast by using "Change" feature in Programs and Features.  Reboot when done.

Select Avast>right click>Select Change>deselect NG component>wait for program to finish.  Reboot.

Any difference?
