Windows 10 official compatibility statement?
« on: August 05, 2015, 06:11:34 AM »
Windows 10 has been out officially for a few days now.  But I haven't seen any official statement from Avast regarding Business Cloud compatibility with Windows 10.

https://www.avast.com/en-au/avast-for-business#sysreq-pc for example says:

Quote
A minimum of Windows XP (with SP2) needs to be installed. Windows Vista, 7, 8, and even 8.1 are fully supported (unless your device runs the Starter or RT edition) in both the 32- and 64-bit variant.

Some other Antivirus vendors have said their products work with limited functionality compared to earlier versions of Windows.  I was wondering if Avast had a similar statement for Business Cloud or if it's not supported yet at all (ie, run at your own risk)!?

HI,

The cloud product is compatible with windows 10. You need to uninstall Avast from the deivce prior to upgrading just to make sure there are no issues with the upgrade process. We have had some devices upgrade without issue, others the upgrade fails. So to be on the safe side uninstall first then reinstall once windows 10 is up and running on the deivce.

Thanks!

Jeff
