Avast firefox addon - how to disable?

Hello.. I would have no problem if Avast addon worked properly in firefox (portable edition).. but it doesnt. If I enable or disable it, it will still show up with a prompt to enable it when I start firefox. Cant uninstall it either. How to get rid of it? Thanks.

In the same way that you can uninstall other avast elements that you don't require. Control Panel, add remove programs/programs and features, avast antivirus, Change. From the next window in the Tools section uncheck the Browser protection option.
