Can't disable HTTPS scanning
« on: August 07, 2015, 12:54:59 PM »
Hello,

I am using Avast business security 2015. When I disable HTTPS scanning it turns back on every time I restart my machine. The OS is Windows 10 Pro x64. How to avoid this?

Thanks,
Volker

HI,

All setting changes have to be made in the portal (business.avast.com) IF changed on the local device, it will reset to what is in the portal on the next communication.

Thanks!

Jeff

Hi Jeff,

thank you for your reply. Do you know where I can disable it? I can only switch off the whole network protection.

I think what you are after is under Cloud Console's Network/Settings menu, then choose the policy settings template to change (or create a new one).  In there, click advanced in the top right of the window and you can then click customize to change specific the Web Shield settings including HTTPS.

TBH I don't see the point of the Basic/Advanced toggle, since all it does is show the "customize" link.  Why don't they just leave the link there? :)

I only found the switch by reading this thread, I never expected it to be there. So same for me: Maybe the UI isn't at a point where it may could be :-). Also I'm still missing some other points:
