That was one of the steps I took to get to this point. (Covered higher up in this thread)
I uninstalled the old Avast and then reinstalled.
The Vbox service remained.

I disabled the "Self-defense" mechanism
I was then able to disable the Vbox service.
I turned self-defense back on.
Let's see how this runs. Hopefully the disable will hold through restarts.

This Vbox error seems to have returned and I don't really get why.
I confirmed that it is disabled in services so why would it be trying to load unless something in Avast is trying to call it in the background.
This causes BSOD errors.
Ideas??
