Threat detected every 20 seconds

Hi, I have Avast premier and I am getting a threat detected alert every 20 seconds. I open chrome, threat detected. I come to this website, threat detected. I press any link, threat detected. I thought it was chrome, so I opened explorer, threat detected! It's driving me batty! It just started doing this yesterday. Today I did a complete computer scan, nothing found. I updated Avast, rebooted computer, open chrome, threat detected. What is going on? The alert reads: Avast Web Shield has blocked a harmful webpage or file. Infection: URL MAL. I have no idea how to stop this. Please help!
