Screen brightness
« on: August 12, 2015, 11:46:52 AM »
Hi. I find ABS very useful. I like the way you try to keep it simple but I wouldn't have anything against advanced mode with more settings (for example to keep wifi settings in Home mode).

I encountered problem with screen brightness on Samsung Ace 3 where in both available modes it changes the values after turning on screen again.
Manual mode changes it to predefined setting.
Automatic mode changes it to... some automatically choosen value.

but

I like to leave it as it was set previously. How to do it?

Thanks. Unfortunately there is not much about brightness settings.

So... Is there a possibility to implement such feature like: don't mess with my brightness?

Well, that "submit ticket" link no longer works. :-\

They really need to say some complete but simple description about this brightness control. I'm just want to verify what I think I've found after fooling around with this setting and others. So far it seems:
  • The slider really does control the brightness (and you actually see a demo while you hold the slider), BUT only if you have the brightness set to "Manual" control.
  • With brightness set to "Adaptive" control, the slider is completely ignored, and Battery Saver relinquish control of the brightness to the phone's Auto Brightness function, which monitors the ambient lighting and sets the brightness (rather too dimly on a Samsung GS6) accordingly.
Does anyone have come to the same conclusion?
