Hello,

Avast 2015 in version 10.3.2225 makes it impossible to use any of the Office 2013 applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook).
The apps just crash at startup.

At first I thought there is something wrong with Outlook, but I just noticed that all Office 2010 modules are affected, even the OneDrive for Business, yet regular OneDrive seems to be working fine. I just upgraded to Internet Security level of protection from beeing a free user, had I known about this, it would have been a deal breaker, so please fix this A.S.A.P.! I don't even use hardened mode, out of the box settings, reinstalled Avast and made online repair on my office installation. I use windows 10 x64 pro, and the problem is present on 2 out of 3 computers in my household with the same OS and configuration.  :(

This problem is an ongoing problem. It needs to be checked by the guys from AVAST as soon as possible. My laptop can not be used. All office apps do not work when avast is installed.

It may help Avast to resolve if you send debug files.

Same here.  Incompatibility with something as prominent as Microsoft Office is an obvious deal-breaker for any software application. Goodbye Avast, it was nice to know you.

Good idea! I also uploaded an error log file from event logs when I posted a ticket. Really hope this will be fixed soon.

Same Problem with Windows 7 64bit and Office 2013. All Apps crash at startup.
Office 2013 Repair all apps are working, after new Start von Windows all apps are crashing again.

Effect since Avast Update

Since clearly not everyone is having these issues but more than one person is the way to resolve is for Avast Team to understand the common ground within these effected PCs.  Thus, it would help Avast to resolve if you send debug files.

Same here, wasted hours on this over the weekend. Now using another AV package and Office 2013 works fine again, W8.1

I'm experiencing the same problems here as well.  Our workstations with Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit and Office 365 applications are crashing after updating to the most recent Avast program update (10.3.2225).  Only after uninstallation of Avast will resolve our Office 365 issue.  Hopefully Avast fixes this problem asap or we will be forced to switch AVs.
