There is a free AV tool that can be downloaded. Is it a non-resident scanner, that can be used on its own, or not?. See:

Is there anyone that has experience with this AV scanner from India?
Is it really what I read unknown company, no test results available, faked user reviews.
FALSE POSITIVES can be worse than no results. Is the ordeal hands off of this scanner!?
