I downloaded the 2229 installation file and installed it manually without a problem. :)

Lucky you Bob, I wasn't meant to get 2229 on this XP system, but I got both 2228 and 2229 and both installed without issue. Then I get notified of another update (or downgrade) to 2228, but trying to do so results in the usual your have the latest version.
