"You can always try to make partnership with AdGuard? Their AdBlocker is the best + protects from malware and phising."

I have AdGuard but it didn't protect me from getting malware on my computer.

What version of Adguard are you using? it only blocks certain types of malware so would be nice to know what malware you encountered also.

You need to enable "Phishing and malware protection".

There is no such setting in Adguard.

That's a big fat "NO" from me, there's many good options already available.

Adguard already works with Edge :)

+1 I vote the biggest NO on the planet as I have Adguard is all I need, so Avast doesn't have to include another Ad Blocker to their AV software otherwise this will cause a major nightmare and confliction between two different Ad Blocker software or browser add-on options.

@Midnight IF you have enable Adguard Phishing and malware protection from the main front screen from Browser Security settings, also you can add ad blocker filter called 'Malware Domains' and their no confliction at all see screenshot below.

OpenCandy is not malware but a PUP that comes bundled with some free software you installed, and most likely because you did not use custom install

As I recall, the old Avast AdBlocker (from version 8.x) was "powered by AdBlock Plus"... if that's the case, users who wish to have an ad-blocker can simply download/install AdBlock Plus [or one of the alternative AdBlockers of their preference].

There is no point for avast to add more "bloat" to its basic anti-virus protection, which is all many users are looking for from it.
Lenovo T530 laptop, Intel Core i5-3320M @ 2.60 GHz, 8GB RAM, Windows 7 Pro SP1 (64-bit), avast! 17 Free, MBAM3 Pro, Windows Firewall, MVPS HOSTS file, OpenDNS Family Shield, Zemana AntiLogger Free, SpywareBlaster, IE11 & Firefox [both using WOT (IE set to WARN, FF set to BLOCK)], WinPatrol PLUS, uBlock Origin, MBAE, MCShield, CryptoPrevent, SAS (on-demand scanner).
[I believe computer-users who sandbox (Sandboxie) are acting prudently.]

Avast doesn't need to add more bloat within it's program.

There's plenty of ad blockers that do the job without any issues.
Windows 10 Home 64-bit • Avast Free (latest stable version) •  Malwarebytes 4 Premium (On-Demand) • Windows Firewall Control • Google Chrome • LastPass • CCleaner • O&O ShutUp10 •

@CraigB,

AdGuard version 2.0.13.

MalwaeBytes found and deleted opencandy.
I don't know where you came up with that number ??? the current Adguard extension is 1.0.38 and the program version is 5.10.2051.6368, I think you must have been using Adblock or something else.
There is also no opencandy component contained within any Adguard product.

My mistake, I just confirmed it with Adguard Techs as I though that might have been a beta version ::) I also discovered 2.0.14 is the latest :)
