Sounds like the same problem from the last update we did. Took a while but Avast seems to fix the problem

More information is needed. Some example, screenshots. Remember, we aren't sitting in front of your computer. :)

I don't know how a screenshot would make a difference; it would just show a website not loading correctly. Like I said, Avast was slowing down and then blocking my internet until I added it in the Windows Firewall allowed list. Even after I added it to the list, it would now rarely slow the internet down but it would block some contents to be loaded on websites.

Yep, similar to what used to happen as listed here (internet blocked) but I'm on Avast Free:

You might want to clear out all the Avast exceptions in the Windows Firewall rules, reboot and allow the firewall to ask permission again.
At that point allow the various Avast components access through the firewall.

I did and still no difference. Avast is even blocking legit sites such as outlook.com. I had to put the website in the Exclusions so that it can load.
