The blocking list.
« on: November 22, 2005, 07:15:03 AM »
I slipped and selected the block this program button and now I'm not getting any messages through that program.  How do I remove that program from that list?

What exactly have you blocked, and how?
Does the problem persist after computer restart?

Sounds like you have either blocked the Internet Mail or Instant Messaging providers in your firewall.

As Igor said what messages are not being received email or Instant Messaging, etc. ?

Guess I should have made metion the program.  The program is called PlayOnline viewer, it's used for sending and recieving messeges with other people who uses it as well and loads an MMORPG.  I haven't received any messeges since the slip.  I've checked with Windows Firewall, but it says it's allowing the viewer to do everything.  I could have sworn that the pop-up box was an AV box.  Problem continues even after I restart the computer.  I think I'll try to look into it again.

How does it send and receive its messages

avast doesn't block access, it only checks for viruses.

Would you care to share you made no mention of any pop-up boxes in your original post.

Please give a more detailed explanation of the problem, what you are doing, what errors or warnings you receive, etc. it helps us to help you.

Also windows XP's firewall doesn't provide full outbound protection.
