Still now news ?
Will be forced to tell our customers to uninstall avast to use our website ? This seems a little extreme but we do not have much choice

This solution doesn't work. Avast is also blocking non-secure websockets.
You need to disable the entire webschield to fix it.

Disabling Webshield isn't a fix. Doing so puts your system at risk.
Maybe you need to start your own topic and describe your problem in detail so you can get some help.

I reenrolled in full-time protection with the thought of saving and existing computer that had a bad virus or malware so I signed up, paid my $240, then called the technician, the technician spent almost 3 hours getting my computer clean and running. Everything was working fine connecting to the Internet and everything was great...tech mission...closed out session, I looked down and realized that avast virus protection was not installed on the machine so I went ahead and installed the standard virus program that I have paid for that covers three or four machines and right away it says I have two major problems and the Scan  will continue ...with the scan is taking quite as near bedtime so I went to bed ..next morning I come down and there's a warning on the screen that The avast antivirus could not load and there was some other major problem with things that were found on the computer this is after three hours of going through the whole computer with avast  full protection plan tech..
That day I called the vast back got a hold of the other tech and he tried to get into my computer something in that program trashed anyway that vascular communicate it says I have entered it says I'm on the Internet but when you try to call up a page of Google or Internet Explorer it says page not available. We tried installing a new ethernet cable instead of the Wi-Fi the problem is still there so something is corrupted best program had corrupted something in the communications end of the computer now they say I have to go to a local tech and have them try to figure it out or reinstall a program desk well the Dell does not come with the program desk so they are saying sorry we can't help you anymore I'm going like what just happened to me I just spent close to $300 for advanced services and all of a sudden I got another dead computer that cannot be fixed unless I throw a ton more money at it... It is an old Vista machine and that's OK because I only use it for two functions and it worked well so I am wondering why I had vast contempt a courtesy to send me vista disc or Windows 7 disc and show me or tell me how to clean off my computer and reinstall it and let's get back online. My name is Michael Wolfe I live in Ann Arbor Michigan my phone number is 734-355-5793 thank you
