« on: November 22, 2005, 07:17:06 PM »
Hi

Just seeing the autoupdate function does not work,  seems to me since a week or two... where is the problem ? Someone knows about it ? (using Avast 4.6.731)
Thanks and have a good day
Pierre ;)

Check and ensure that your firewall allows access to avast.setup or isn't blocking it.

Are you able to do a manual update?

If neither of these work you might want to check this out.
Have you done a forum search for "auto update" 4.6.731 - this returns this lhread http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=17501.0

I am running Avast since more than 14 months with no problem... and still think it's a good antivirus, maybe  I can try to re-install the program...?

Have a good evening... thanks a lot for your help...

Its time to re-register avast home, the registration lasts 14 months and you are then required to register again to receive free updates for a further 14 months. avast! 4 Home Registration

No need to wait try a manual iAVS update, right click the avast icon, Updating, iAVS.

In fact, seems that we have an auto-update problem...
