AVAST blocking connection to FFXIV launcher server

"EDIT: It was Avast. I'm not sure what's changed, but apparently Avast no longer likes that http://frontier.ffxiv.com/ URL. If anyone else has this issue, try going into your web protection settings and whitelisting http://frontier.ffxiv.com/* the * is important because the date at the end of the URL changes daily and you don't want to have to whitelist it every day for every date."

Basically the game launcher which uses this URL will crash if you don't add an exception for it.
