Software Updater IE 11 update win Vista?
« on: September 02, 2015, 11:31:31 PM »
I have avast installed on my computer running Windows Vista.  For a while now (a week, maybe 2) avast software updater claims that Internet Explorer is out of date and should be updated to IE11.

To my knowledge, IE11 is not available for Windows Vista.  What is going on?  Is it a bug with avast...should I even try installing the update?

Currently installed: IE 9.0.8112.16421
supposed update:  IE 11.0.9600.17937

Strange that, I have XP Pro and IE8 the max in that OS and avast doesn't say anything about updates for IE 8.

You could try the Refresh in the Software Updater.
