Windi.exe Virus: Avast! doesn't touch it.

Have resorted to manually removing infection in safe mode. Hope it works. Wonder why Avast! doesn't tackle it. Alternative approaches welcome!

upload  Windi.exe to www.virustotal.com and scan it. If scanned before, click rescan for a fresh result

It is not a virus but adware.
Make sure PUP detection is enabled.
