Avast!2016 should add Real-Time Cloud Detection to help instantly spot new malware outbreaks and better protect you against malicious websites.

AFAIK Avast 2015 does have already some kind of cloud protection. It is an hybrid of resident and cloud protection.

It already does.

Depending on the circumstances the File System Shield will call on the cloud, typically you would see the FileRep(utation) detections which would be checked against the cloud.

The Hardened Mode set to Aggressive will also use the avast cloud.
