Is Avast Free Really protect!
« on: September 11, 2015, 06:01:04 PM »
hey, I just want to assure that " Is Avast Antivirus free edition really protect my PC from virus and remove them or I have to upgrade to paid version?". I heard some people are saying the free edition just show the virus but don't really delete it so it won't protect your PC, so is this true or not.
on another hand I have about 2 or 3 years using Avast free version on my PC and smartphone and didn't get any problem caused of a virus.
really I am confused about what to believe!

The other versions have other elements not in the free version, firewall, safezone (virtualising), etc.

I have been using the avast free version for over eleven years and no infections.
Windows 10 Home 64bit/ Acer Aspire F15/ Intel Core i5 7200U 2.5GHz, 8GB DDR4 memory, 256GB SSD, 1TB HDD/ avast! free 24.2.6105 (build 24.2.8918.824) UI 1.0.799/ Firefox, uBlock Origin, uMatrix/ MailWasher Pro/ Avast! Mobile Security

Greats
I love it so much not only cuz it is protecting me, but also cuz it doesn't slow down my computer, like some other anti viruses does.
this is why I am keeping use it and i will not try another, this is comforting me.
but i wanted to make sure that people is wrong to say it doesn't protect.  8)

I wouldn't rely on the ability of any AV-software to delete all malware parts on my computer.
If something is wrong (installation failures, malware ...) I go back to a clean windows version that I store regulary with an image programm.
