killerjerick you are right. Although it IS caused by badly programmed parts of W10 itself, Avast surely somehow "helps" to trigger this behavior on some machines. I never had this problem with Avira Free, for example. With Avast it occurs after 2 - 3 days even on clean installation of W10. Reboots, safe mode etc. helps..for next 24 hours..

It has happened on systems using various AV's. It's happened on systems that only had Defender installed on their computers.
It's a Windows 10 problem and always has been. I haven't seen it come back on any of my systems since updating to Windows 10 v.1115
Some of my computers are now running build 11082.
