How do I exclude spyware
« on: November 26, 2005, 01:02:37 PM »
I have just downloaded Avast Home edition.  It keeps on picking up my Blazing Tools keylogger which I use to monitor my kids' activities and saying it includes a Trojan Horse virus (it is picking up the keylogger exe and dll files in c:\program files\BPK).  I have included the folder name in the exclusion list and included *.dll and *.* to try and get round this but the virus warning message still keeps appearing.  How do I stop this happening?

Thanks.

There are in fact two exclusion lists: one in program settings, for the on-demand scanning.
And other in Standard Shield settings, for the on-access protection (residents).

Second, it's necessary to put the complete mask to the exclusions, i.e. something like
c:\program files\BPK\*
and
c:\progra~1\BPK\*
