Mac, Parental Controls, and wifi
« on: September 24, 2015, 12:38:08 AM »
I run a middle school Tech Support with over 150 Macs. I started loading the free Avast and noticed a problem for us. On a Mac, running 10.10.5, any account with Parental Controls turned on cannot connect to a wifi access without logging into at each startup. This is very impractical for 150 accounts each day. I checked settings and cannot find anything about resetting wifi selection and passwords. Also, the router for the school is located at the County Office of Education. I can't have them reset the router just for us.

Forgot to add, there's no problem when the computer is plugged via Ethernet cable.

Any suggestions?

Just and FYI, we've tried the free AVAST with our and staff accounts and the product is working wonderfully.
