Well who cares then? I mean if someone that's not from Alwil is demanding something from me i wouldn't even blink with my eye. I had similar case with Sysinternals few months ago regarding my programs that utilize Sysinternals components. Sysinternals legal department representative contacted me and we sorted out the thing properly so we both could benefit from it (thats why you can still get Power Defragmenter and Streams Eraser from my webpage). Alwil Software also never bothered me regarding avast! External Control Tool although i "bundle" avast! Uninstaller with it and tweak some undocumented tweaks. So jumping so fast like deleting and denying any further avast! reviews (and other stuff like that) is just plain stupid. I mean my first move on such questionable things would be contacting someone from Alwil Software (actual Alwil staff not some forum member).
Tech certanly CANNOT arrange and deal with something that is clearly just and only Alwil Software's matter.

Aurelio Minerbo, i hope you haven't permanently deleted avast! content.
If you have any other doubts, i recommend you contact someone Alwil Software.
I don't think writing tutorials using screenshots of localized program version is illegal and is certanly not stealing of someones work (Tech's in this case).
There is hundreds of tutorials for avast! English version and that doesn't mean they're stealing Alwils woerk bvecause they translated it in english...
As for CD-ROMs in magazines are usually really free and you don't pay for them, although it looks like you actually pay for it.

I can't believe your first post here is to blame against me. Other users will judge my behavior.
Thanks Sasha, thanks RejZor. You know me.
This page (http://www.baboo.com.br/booklet_avast_1415_nomore.gif) has technical errors.
You don't know avast enough to make a booklet and make money with it.
More, you used Alwil icons, GUIs, etc. without even noticing them. As far I read from Igor post, you couldn't do that.
Again, I'm not against you or any other brazilian store, on contrary, I just ask for respect to Alwil work, I just ask to respect forum users work.

If Alwil team wants me to change anything in my behavior, as they know me, since from Eduard, Vlk, Igor, Pavel, pk, Kubecj, etc.
Just let me know. My behavior here was always peacefully, friendly, helpful... Otherwise, you won't stand me so long here... three years, more than 14000 posts  8)

RejZor, they don't want to contact avast. They should have done like you've did with Sysinternals.
I never try to deal with them. Just ask a lot of times that they enter in contact with Alwil. They've run away. Don't you believe me?

I suggest you to re-read my reply  ;)

Carmona Lisandro is our Tech (Technical) but no one knows him under his real name in here. RejZoR you need to read the whole thread to understand this whole story.

I suggest start from here:

http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=16924.0 (Start of this thread)

And btw why are you so touchy when it comes to mentioning your real name ? We all know each others name in this forum and nothing wrong with that... I know RejZoR's name, Bob's name, Miha's, P3t3rB00n's name, DavidR's name and many others... I don't see why anyone would like to hide his name like this ?

I also remember I posted one nice Greeting Card in here and I posted I received one from you last year... I remember what problems you gave me just because I mentioned your real name thanking you for the postcard...  ??? You even edited my own posts... you edited my reply and you actually removed your real name without asking me prior doing that. All I was doing is thanking you for the postcard.  ;)

The other thing... 14000 posts means nothing... it's just a number as I mentioned million times before, but it really looks like it means a lot to you Tech. The friendship and our relationship towards new forum members is what counts. I have one friend in another security related forum dealing with hardware firewalls... he has more than 42000 posts by now, and he never ever mentioned it even one single time... simply he doesn't look at his posts...  ;)  8)

I agree with Rejzor there 100%.Tech isn't alwil's employe and cannot speak in their name right?I don't know why he is getting so excited about this cause it's none of his bussines it's between ALWIL and mr.AURELIO MINERBO.Tech contacted ALWIL about this and now it's up to them what should be done further.

BTW implying that you are something more in this forum because you have 14000 posts is BS

nothing against You Aurelio and BABOO , but let me write what i see here and what i feel ...

Saying that You erased all informations about product Alwil products (Avast etc.) since 1999 shows at least minor arrogance and try to "pressure" with words 'now million(s) of our users can't read informations about Avast! nor get the free CD-ROM they paid for ...

All this with weak excuse 'some person' who claims to be 'translator' of Avast! software (in other words read some person w/o any rights or legal link to Alwil or Avast! software line)...

it also shows Your site in negative light that You going to erase all informations about product XY when any little issue arise w/o even try to contact real authors of software or authorized party which can legally defend the product on Brazil market (in other words Your site seems not to be unbiased at all in style `who not let us made $ is blacklisted`).

Plus ... this seriously looks like try to create some pressure on Alwil :
> we removed every informations about Your software ever posted on our site
this all without any real legal reasons ...

Also when You ran into legal aspect about Your lawyers....
then they must sure noted on Alwil's Avast~Home websites and in EULA parts related to:

- need to have a specific permission to distribute avast! on a CD as free or paid redistribution of avast! is not permitted.
- putting avast! logo on the CD without specific permission is not permitted.

So may i ask if You got such permission ? or You ever contacted ALWIL Software in past (related to this issues) ?

Also if You were really attacked/offended by Tech (Lisandro Carmona)
and he was demanding You to pay license fees to him (i doubt Tech have rights to demand this at all)
then i suggest You either publish this informations here on forums (like emails copy)
and/or provide to Alwil software (as they will be for sure interested in such event too).

This were my opinions on the problem and I'm not impressed with way how You/BABOO decided to solve the problem.
My opinions about Tech are for now neutral but depending on further info , all can change ...

NOTE:
I'm not employee of ALWIL software (sadly :)) and this post is my personal opinion as Avast! software user and supporter!

Sorry Carmona, but since the beginning you've taken a personal approach to this problem and dealt with it in an unprofessional manner. You obviously lack the experience and the interest (or competence) to handle this situation. The problem could have been easily solved without your threats.

Regarding your statement "(...) and show me a lot of problems you're having
with other brazilian sites about copyright material", it's very easy to
prove you're lying just to obtain sympathy from your friends here.

Since 2002 we had published more than 1,000 reviews: just look at
http://www.baboo.com.br/page.asp?p=tutoriais. You are wrong again when you allege we just want money: these reviews and tutorials are free !
We have kindly asked many websites to remove our copyrighted materials and we have filled some lawsuits against those who refused to do so. Our content is so good that you can find some of them posted at Kazaa and other P2P networks!

I don't wish to continue this debate because it's nonsense. Our decision has been
made and we have not been contacted by ALWIL at anytime regarding
this subject. However, ALWIL should read this topic to be aware of what translators
can do and what they cannot.

Happy New Year.

Sorry Carmona, but since the beginning you've taken a personal approach to this problem and dealt with it in an unprofessional manner.
First you attack. Then put words in my mouth. Then say that I'm taking it personally...

You obviously lack the experience and the interest (or competence) to handle this situation. The problem could have been easily solved without your threats.
I warned Alwil since from the beginning and you refuse to contact them.
I posted here and you never came. Just now to defend your money.

Our content is so good that you can find some of them posted at Kazaa and other P2P networks!

Nothing personal, just what I've read from time to time. Just Google and you'll find more.

Our decision has been made and we have not been contacted by ALWIL at anytime regarding this subject.
You should start contact but you refused.

However, ALWIL should read this topic to be aware of what translators can do and what they cannot.
No problems. I know what is to change behavior when I'm wrong.
Until know you do not recognize what you're doing: making money with the work of others.

No, he didn't.

Never did. Never will do it. I did just to protect what I thought it was our antivirus interest.

I'm not impressed with way how You/BABOO decided to solve the problem.
I've asked him by email to get in contact with Alwil. He refused. I have no other option to post it here.
A lot of time after that, he comes here to tell another history... maybe he's loosing money without avast.

I never wanted to do it. It's not my business like you've said. Just to post what I think it's the truth.

Now it's up to them what should be done further.
Fully agree.

No. I did not intend to tell this. Please, do not misunderstand me.
If you and Sasha try to read my post in my mind, you'll read: you know me better, I'm here since 3 years with you, I have been with you a long time.
I'm not making any comparison or asking for a better treatment. Just trying to say I'm not a newbie. Sorry if my English does not reach yours, it's not my first language.

OK, guys, I don't do that very often, but I believe it's time to close this thread (and I would appreciate if you don't open any other on this subject). Don't take it personally, but I don't think anything useful could come out of it.

Personally, I think this whole "case" was mostly a misunderstanding on both sides. In any case, "the decision has been made", so it's useless to continue.
Thanks.
