I using a Lenovo G580 laptop and I have installed windows 10 pro and avast free version as my antivirus…
And for past 5 years i’m using and recommending my students to use avast,

But yesterday I installed windows 10 to one of my friend’s laptop and while I tried to install avast on it the windows is not booting well and going to automatic repair mood,
I also tried a offline installer which is downloaded from avast official site even it wasn’t successful it gives a avast self defense error

What is the issue that i’m facing here
I googled about it and found lot of posts regarding this but no use and no proper solutions there

I hope they will provide a good solution for this issue

If still a problem ....

See instructions here  >>  https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=53253.0
Scroll down to second picture > Farbar Recovery Scan Tool < Run as instructed and attach the two diagnostic logs

See below the box you write in ... Attachments and other options

When done, Essexboy will have a look

Guys I thanks for the replies and I solved this my self

Solution is ....
Install Avast Antivirus but don't restart the system
Now right clicking the avast icon on the task bar -> avast shields control -> disable until computer is restarted
Now right click on the task bar ->select task manager -> select more details (if it is only in simple view) -> select startup tab
right click on Avast! Antivisrus -> disable it
Now restart your computer
Now manually run Avast
Now again select task manager -> select more details (if it is only in simple view) -> select startup tab
right click on Avast! Antivisrus -> enable it.

So... now its done.
Check it now

Have fun  ;)

Check your HDD health with Crystal Disk Info. I've seen similar situations when HDD's were on their last legs...
