New version of Java provided by Avast Software Updater

When my Java detected that Java Version 8 Update 65 is available and I did update via the Java GUI. Following the next day, Avast software updater alerting me that Java 8 Update 66 is available and I thought ok, Since avast detected a new version and I assumed that Oracle detected another security issue, Oracle made another update available to all users and Avast Software Updater has released this new version. After that following date, Oracle still posted that Java 8 Update 65 is the latest version?

What gives?

Oracle probably hadn't updated their page, yet. 8u66 is showing now as a patch to 65: http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/index.html

Another issue. When you do not have a strict necessity to use Java, disable or better even uninstall this problem factory alltogether
