Hi guys, can you please post a version of the virus database (VPS) from the settings/update page? Home Network security scan is partly in the programme and partly in the VPS - so it really does matter what version of the VPS you all are running.

Thanks a lot,
L.

Retried again, still have same results with Network Scan.

VPS 151107-0

Ran a scan on Standalone Network Scan, still getting same results ( Scan completer , but still shows scan running .
VPS  151108-1

I have tried 3 different vps versions, and as " Gopher John" ran a scan without any problems.
Wondering if there is another problem, not just with VPS>

Hi Lukor
I am not sure what VPS means but following on from what David has typed mine actually says 151104-1
Hope this is what you meant?

Any solutions to this problem yet Lukor? I am now on 151110-1
Many thanks in advance

Edit: Just tried it again and it is working ok again. Yippee! Thanks team :)

:( Spoke too soon! I think it only completed because I had a trial Secure Line VPN running. I have just disabled this and guess what? The Smart Scan is hanging at 43% stuck on Network Threats again.
Back to the drawing board.  ::)

@ Lukor
This is not resolved in the stand alone Scan for network threats still shows one of the Device Scan running.. same one as in my prior image Reply #9.

If I click the Scan History it effectively stops the Scan running and reports No problems found.

The Smart Scan completes without issue as mentioned in Reply #1 and its accompanying images.

So what are the differences in the Scan for network threats in the Smart Scan ?

Hi,
could you check \ProgramData\AVAST Software\Avast\log\Hns.log. Is "End Scan" here?
Also you can try set Settings -> General -> Maintenance -> Enable debug logging.
Start "Scan for network threads" and check HnsToUi_Requests.jsons for "asw.hns.progress" and "asw.hns.reportdevice".
Remember uncheck Enable debug logging.
Thanks
Pavel

The Hns.log is empty (size 2bytes), will now set the debug and initiate another scan.

UPDATE:
The Hns.log is still empty, no record of this file HnsToUi_Requests.jsons.

I notice there is an mdmp file in the logs folder (unp304799693743937426.mdmp), but that is from 3/11/2015.
