:o i went to update my avast free antivirus like i usually do with no problems at all, but this time , there is a problem, it said there was a program update to avast 2016 , and so i did so , but now it keeps tell ing to upgrade to avast 2016 (free version) . over and over again.

i have windows 10 HOME, 8 gigs of ram and a 400 GB hard drive . i have no other protection software installed, windows defender is DISABLED, .

do i need to un-install avast in safe mode using the avast un-install tool ? , and then re-install the new 2016 version that is now out ?.  ::)
