avast! Service 32 bit uses 33% CPU

Hi forum members,

avast! Service 32 bit uses 33% + of CPU.
This drains my battery

Running Avast Premier v 11.1.2241 with Windows 10 on Surface Pro 3 i7

I cannot believe how fast the battery drains when Avast is running. What reason necessitates the software consuming this much CPU?

I note that the TCP connections are off the chart (about 150+) AvastSvc.exe is connected on local port 51621 to 5.45.58.251 on remote port 80 and then there is this whole host of IPV4 loopback on various local ports with matching remote ports all belonging to AvastSvc.exe

How much resources avast is using depends on several of things.
e.g. what is running (in the background), what data traffic is there, settings...
