Can't turn on firewall

Today I receive a pop-up about new update of avast.
After update firewall is not turn on.
When I try to turn it on it just tell firewall can not turn on.
p/s My version is Avast Premier 11.1.2253. Can this version run in Window XP sp3?

Repair Avast:
1. Control Panel -> Add/Remove programs -> Avast
2. Click on 'Repair'.
3. Follow instructions.
4. Reboot.

I followed your instructions 3 times about repairing and then rebooting. I still get the message that my firewall is off and i can't turn it on. I had a trial period that this application seemed to be working ok but when i purchased is when I start getting messages that the firewall is off and i am unable to turn it back on.

- OS..? (32/64 Bit..? - which SP/Build..?)
- Other security related software installed..?
- Which AV(s) did you use before Avast..?

Repair Avast:

Thank you @Asyn !  This worked for me.  However, I would modify the above instructions for Win 7 Home Premium.  In step 2:  Click on Avast!m, click on change, then click on Repair in the next popup box.
