working with zone alarm firewall
« on: December 06, 2005, 05:14:52 PM »
I use zone alarm with avast 4.6 free edition.
There are 4 avast progs listed for access on zone alarm -
1. antivirus ser...
2.antivirus upd...
3.e-mail scan...
4.webb scanner.
The first 3 are ticked for access but the 4th has question marks on all sections. I previously had number 4 ticked for access but after an update it was changed back to a question mark.
Question - Which is the correct set of settings in zone alarm -
1 to 3 have access and 4 to ask for access or should all 4 have access at all times for my protection and for the prog to function correctly?
Thanks in advance.

Set all of them to allow "Access", but not "Server".

When a main program is updated, ZA will ask you again for access, as its changed and needs your confirmation.
