Virus Definitions
« on: November 08, 2015, 12:29:34 PM »
For the past several days I've had to manually update.  I have it set to automatic update.  I've done a repair but didn't help.

Why isn't it automatically updating?

Hi -midnight,

You might not have manually upgraded to the 2016 version of the Avast AV programme version.
The rest then goes on full automatic.

kind regards,

pol

Hi polonus,

I did manually upgrade to the 2016 version.  Even though the virus definitions are set on automatic I still have to update them manually.

Hi -midnight,

And what about the streaming updates, are you getting these also in time?
Oh and did you set these settings while in admin mode (right click on the avast icon on the desktop and  then take third option from the top down..  ;D)
Sometimes users do the non/obvious things and like a good teacher one has to explain and explain the proper procedures. Normally you never use admin mode to be more secure, but in this case you do. Handling computers does not come easy, does it now?  ;D
