I can't seem to download Avast

I disabled my firewall but no luck. I just get a blank page saying done. I do have other pestpatrol, adaware, norton etc. but I like them and don't want to uninstall them. Maybe I can turn them off? But it still is odd to me I can't get the download page to work. Has anyone else had this problem. Thanks! amy

Firstly, can you download anything?

If you receive the "Done" on the bottom of the page, then it usually means that the incoming page is blocked.  
I suggest that you only shut down, not disable all your spyware, blocking software to see what happens.

It usually is one of the programs running resident (in the background) that you never touch.

Also, if you use IE6, make sure the Security setting is not on high.  It can cause problems.  You will find the setting in Tools/Internet Options/Security

I think you might be right. I can't seem to download anything. Hmmm time to call my Dad. He is super techie he can fix anything!  Thanks for your advice. amy
